I live in the heart of the earthquake zone, and I spend my free time on the ocean, in the very areas a tsunami would impact. Like many of you in BC, I don’t just see the risks on the news; I live with them every day.

My entire life has been spent in the mountains and on the waters of British Columbia. From my time as a BC Wildland Initial Attack Firefighter to my days as a professional ski patroller and taking courses in Search and Rescue management, there has been one constant lesson: a clear, actionable plan is what separates chaos from control.
